David Baines

David joined the Orcid Partnership as Non-executive Chairman in 2006. He spent his full-time career in the food industry. He first joined Cadbury and subsequently worked with Rank Hovis, the Sara Lee Corporation and Northern Foods in a wide variety of senior marketing, general management and board roles.

He is a Non-executive Director of two family-owned businesses in Yorkshire and has a mentoring practice exclusively working with Managing Directors through Vistage International.

His 'off-line' experience includes having been Chairman of Northern Foods Pension Fund, on the Council of Food from Britain and on the Council of Management of St Anne’s, a Community Care Charity in Yorkshire and the North East.

David read languages at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford and his interests include travel, golf and bridge plus a voracious appetite for crime fiction.
