Patrick Gatenby ACA

Patrick has over 20 years' experience in finance, business and professional services. Within Orcid, he works extensively with listed and privately-owned organisations. Recruiting at board and senior levels, his functional areas of specialism include finance, change and general management across a broad variety of sectors.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in Nottingham, he went on to work in a divisional finance role with Cosworth Engineering, at that time part of Vickers plc and famous for supplying engines for Michael Schumacher's first F1 drive, as well as the engines for the classic Ford Escort Cosworth — the one with the 'Whale-tail'!  He then worked for 10 years with a leading international executive recruitment consultancy, developing markets in the North and Midlands, in a number of sectors with a focus on professional and financial services, before joining the Orcid Partnership in 2005.

Outside work Patrick enjoys time with his family, travelling and mountains — whether skiing down them or cycling up. Having enjoyed cycling in the Alps, he now plans to complete the "Leadville 100", a marathon MTB race in Colorado.
