Our recommended reads for 2017

As we enter a new year I am sure that most, if not all of us will have set a number of new year’s resolutions- the majority of which we will abandon within the first few weeks/months of the year.

Having ignored the usual-“I must give up chocolate/dairy/meat etc” and “I must lose weight and go to the gym more often” I have set myself only one new year objective- To read more business focused books.

I will now be putting down my John Grisham, James Patterson and Sebastian Faulks and instead investing in interesting and great leadership books. But where do you start? I have compiled a list of the 10 books that I want to read this year and I am delighted to share this with you. I know you may have already digested some of them, I know I have previously read a few, but I urge you to re-aquaint yourself as they each have a great message to deliver.

  • Tipping Point-Malcolm Gladwell
  • Black Box Thinking-Matthew Syed
  • Maverick-Ricardo Semler
  • Originals-Adam Gaunt
  • Homo Deus-Yuval Noah Hurari
  • The E Myth-Michael Gerber
  • The War of Art-Steven Pressfield
  • Shoe Dog-Phil Knight
  • The Hard Thing about Hard Things-Ben Horowitz
  • Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance-Angela Duckworth

I hope you find something of interest in my list and please send me your recommendations for future reading.
